OP, saw your exact vehicle with rear cables this morning sitting halfway up our 'problem' hill on a main road with flashers on, unable to move. Triple peak tires are the only solution for me. Since putting them on, I have never felt the need to use chains. But if you rarely travel here in the winter, caution, timing and route planning will keep you moving 90% of the time, stay home the other 10%.
