Surfboard pads for factory roof rack cross bars

Good morning/afternoon all! I was wondering if anyone can make a recommendation for pads for the factory crossbars on an Expedition to protect a surfboard or SUP when being carried up there. The width of the crossbars is a little over 2" and is the aerodynamic type. If there is a brand or model that anyone has used that they are pleased with, I would be interested in hearing what brand/model it is.

Pool noodles. Seriously. Cut one lengthwise, slip it over the bar and zip-tie it if you feel the need. The zip ties might cost more than the noodle.

I had tried pool noodles previously, and wasn't that impressed with the way they fit. I ended up buying a pair of "Dorsal" surfboard pads off Amazon. They seem like they'll fit good and should work well.
