Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch is compatible with surge brakes and has some anti-sway built in. (Got mine at etrailer). You may also need to get a pole adapter for using it on a boat trailer.

We tow a 6500 lb sailboat with our 2007 expedition. The weight distribution hitch is a nice addition. Takes the bounciness out that I noticed with the independent coil spring suspension (over the solid axle truck suspension I was used to). Expedition is a great tow vehicle.

Good info to know.
I had never heard of a pole adapter. That is a neat item. Lets you use a WDH on a straight trailer tongue.
I also have a Fastway E2, the 10,000 lb model. I would have thought the friction from the sway control would have not allowed the surge brakes to work correctly or maybe only at a reduced amount.
