I'm getting some new wheels next week, which the reseller said have Ford TPMS sensors compatible with 2019's... I'll need to set the Expedition to know them, so upon some research picked up a Motorcraft TPMS19 reset tool.

googling instructions, I find a bunch of 'turn ignition key on/off 3 times in a row, etcetc' kind of stuff. but of course my 2019 is a pushbutton start/stop. One instruction said something about the emergency blinker switch, to flip IT on/off 3 times in a row, etc etc.

Does anyone know of definitive instructions suitable for a 2019 Expedition ?

I ordered a Motorcraft TPMS19, it arrived yesterday...

(Noname clones were half the price of the $26 real Ford/Motorcraft one)

procedure I found online consisted of...

1) ensure all 4 tires are inflated to nominal pressure
2) set parking brake.
3) press and release brake pedal.
4) press start button 5 times (without foot on brake)
5) press and release brake again.
6) press start button 6 times (again no brake)
7) horn chirps.
8) hold TPMS19 next to front left tire next to valve stem, press button. after a second or two horn chirps
9) repeat step 8 for front right, rear right, rear left in that order
10) after last tire, dashboard indicates relearning complete.

I just tested this with my stock wheels, and it works.

I’ve swapped tires 2x and the system just finds the sensors without any steps. I’ve never programmed one set off 2019 and one set came from factory as stock. Takes it about 5 min and 2 miles, but it never needed any steps.
2022, so YMMV
