upgrade to turn signal mirrors

i have a 2005 ford expedition xlt with the regular power mirrors with only the puddle lamp but i want to upgrade to the turn signal heated mirrors how would i do this and can this be done... i read that some people said to tap into the turn signal in the rear but how would i do this and what parts do i need and guy at part store said this could cause electrical problems with the truck down the road is this true? I also read that some people said to change a pin and run wires into the connector also how would i do this out of the 2 options what is the easiest to do? the wire harness i have on now only has like 5 or so wires but the new mirror with turn signal has like 10 or so wires.
