I just replaced 4 out of 8 spark plugs on my 99 expedition and i started the truck to it running really bad and white smoke coming from the exhaust the smoke smells like gas and my engine light is now on any suggestions on what it is? The plug for a computer to hook up and read the codes is broke so I can't just take it in

Welcome. White smoke is a sign of coolant getting in the combustion chamber, usually a sign of a head gasket leak.

I would say you have a dead cylinder or two if it is running badly after plug change. If it smells like fuel you likely are not getting spark.

Are you sure all cops are plugged in??

Did you gap plugs properly? Are spark plugs firmly seated and torqued?

Generally white smoke is sign of coolant in combustion chamber but I am going on the basis that the vehicle was ok before the plug change.
