Hey guys I had this issue on my 01 5.4 EB on both front windows. What I found is the glass pane actually comes loose from the grooved track underneath it - which messes up the path of the window as it goes up and pulls the rubber stripping away. I just pulled the door panel, added some glass adhesive / silicone stuff into that bottom track, slide the glass back in, put some resistance on the top while I raised it, and left it closed for a day. Has worked fine ever since. It was not the actuator itself. Easy fix.

Replaced the regulator today and the window goes up without popping out side the track!
Does seem like the front of the window rides lower going up and down. If I could adjust the front up a little, the back would ride in the track better. I'm pleased that is over with now...
