So the Platinum started in 2015, right? But the Limited is still available, but not as feature loaded as a Platinum?

Was the 2014 and earlier limited ever loaded as much as a platinum or was that the king ranch?

King Ranch was the top trim in the 2014 model year, in 2015 they added Platinum much like the pickups. King Ranch is a more recognizable nameplate synonymous with luxury. Also uses better leather.

Aren't the 2015-2017 platinum & King Ranch pretty much the same minus the KR having different leather and exterior colors? The KR seems to go for more $$$ over the platinum.

I'd still do a limited over a platinum, it has all the right features that get used frequently vs where the platinum has some additional features that hardly ever get used by the driver.

I still wish I would have had a "heated steering wheel" option available when I bought mine<lol> but a luxury or high-end anything will ALWAYS have lots more than the average owner will use....that's the nice thing about owning something like that.....anything you want is there. That's the whole idea of Luxury...it is beyond need.

That's the difference between "feature shopping" which is really "value shopping" and telling the salesperson "show me the best one". Most of us prob don't do that in reality although there are always a couple internet-tycoons I suppose that hang out with mere mortals here.

To me, there are pluses & cons to both but its really up to the person trading their money as to which mode is appropriate for their own situation, not me.

Still wish I had the heated steering wheel......

Oh I do not like the 2015 and up King Ranch dark brown trim color and the seat colors. Yuck. If I could afford a '15 I would do a Platinum, black seats.

We're very opposite people lol, I'd love a 2015+ KR, the interior is dead on for me especially with the dark green over brown exterior!
