Does anyone have one? The chrome grille drives me batty. I think I'm going to go with a black one. Anyone know if I have to get it painted and how is the quality?
Thanks

Don’t quote me on this but I believe color matched grilles were only an 07’ & 08’ item like the door badges and Triton series engine covers. For whatever reason in 09’ Ford cut those little add on details.

Maybe you can find a painted color match grille for an 07 or 08 on eBay?

If you wanna take a ride to Brockton, Everates salvage usually has a few. Last time I was there(2 months) I saw 6 black expeditions with black grills.

Ah the city of champions. Good ol' brockton.
Will an older 3rd generation grille fit my vehicle?

Black metallic body color match? Or black plastic SSV grille?
Only grilles I've seen are generic black matte for $170-300. Is that the ssv? That's what I've been looking at.

I just want something that looks good.

Thanks everyone for the help

That's bizarre.

Generic chrome is 60-70 bucks...

SSV matte is kinda fugly, or maybe just prone to fading. I ended up spraying mine with plastidip or bedliner I forget. You could just do that if you're good with matte

It had a crack that I glued but it started spreading again, so I ended up replacing it with chrome when it reappeared in stock on Amazon

That's disappointing.

Yes, any 07-14 will fit. I'm in Abington and may hit Everates this weekend for a TED to fix my heated seat. If I find a color match black grill I'll scoop it.
