I noticed there was some a puddle after changing my oil yesterday. I'm not sure what this part is called but here is where I found the leak to be coming from. Does anyone know what this part is and what could cause this leak?

I topped off the antifreeze as the temp gauge was heating up yesterday and engine was low on antifreeze. Then noticed this puddle.

Here's a link to the video clip I took of the dripping:

Is that just water … dripping out of the exhaust system? I think I've had that under certain conditions. You're from Houston, pretty humid down there. Is it clear and just evaporates and is gone with no oily residue?

One time after letting my 03Expy sit for a couple weeks I had a crapload of water in the exhaust system.

Thank you for the reassurance. At first I was nervous bc my temp gauge kept going up into the red. Appears it's 2 things, I didn't tighten the oil filter enough which caused alot of oil to drain out when I was driving. And there is moisture on the spark plugs on the left hand side only so I'll have to identify the source of the leak.

Shouldn't have ANY moisture on plugs, period. Passenger or driver side?
Is that from engine overheating?

I've never run low on oil so I don't know if that can cause overheated engine.

Well, in my younger days I blew many an engine by running low on oil.
Don't tell anyone that though. Its a secret.

An engine without oil is good for … minutes at best
then you can stick a fork in it

This is scary to read.
First oil will not cause overheating. The engine will spin bearings and lock up way before it overheats the water in it.
Not sure how you could get a n oil filter not tight enough. Tight at you can get it by hand it fine. Most spec at 3/4-1 turn after the gasket touches but just tighten by hand is fine.
Only seen two loose ones in my life.
Sometimes the old gasket sticks to the engine and if you don't remove it and end up with two gaskets it will leak like mad.

Low oil and ANY lack of oil pressure is NO JOKE! Anytime the low oil pressure warning comes on you INSTANTLY turn off the ignition. Even 5 seconds with low pressure can cause damage.
This damage is BIG money damage.

Overheating is 2nd big money thing.

If it was low on coolant and you have damp plugs (do you mean the inside cylinder part or wet in the plug wells on outside as you removed them) then you could have a leak or at worst a head gasket leak.
A head gasket leak will cause overheating and wet plug electrodes.
You will also get some steam out of exhaust and the liquid will not be stale water but have smelly sticky coolant mixed in.

NEVER drive or run one in the red. ALWAYS turn it off before the gauge hits the red or you are in risky territory.

People blow up engines all the time because they want to get where they are going and don't realize the serious ans immediate nature of loss of oil pressure or overheating.

The moisture was on the passenger side. I did some more inspecting and found the moisture was coming from a leak under on the heater hose. In the morning I'm going to replace the plastic connector and see if that prevents her from overheating.

You might end up with a miss form the wetness in the plug wells. Might have to pop coils out and blow them out or let them air dry for a day.

Hopefully no overheating damage.
The modular fords (4.6, 5.4, 6.8) are VERY forgiving too being hot.
The heads are huge aluminum heat sinks and absorb and take a lot without blowing head gaskets. All my Lincolns even have the run hot mode where if the temp gets up to about 3/4 to hot it will cancel out cylinders to cool. Cadillac first did this with Northstar (now there's a weak head gasket blowing piece of crap for you) and then Lincoln followed.

A leak can cause all sorts of funny overheating issues due to air pockets.
Like when the old 4.6 plastic intake crossovers would split. Some would get hot in 3.5 minutes form cold start. No way that is possible but the flow was stopped and air bubbles would get in.
Sometimes you could top off and leave cap loose to vent and drive a lot longer than if it were on and tight.
Strange beasts sometimes.

I'm def going to take your advice and pop the coils and blow them out. I'll provide an update after I get everything done.

Update: I replaced the heater hose connector. Also replaced the 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1, replaced the windshield pump. Added 50/50 antifreze. She is now running smooth, the engine fan is no longer kicking in loudly like before, no more over heating, and cleaned up the spilled antifreze that was on the plug wells. Now I need to watch a youtube video on how to clean my engine safely because it's a mess now. But not in a rush because I don't want to get water anywhere unnecessary. Thanks for you alls help @MrSticker & @TobyU
