Anyone run a 180 thermostat with a tuner?

I installed a 180 thermostat and had 5 star update the program. I was wondering if anyone else had done the same, it doesn't seem that it runs alot cooler. But 5 star says it does a good bit for performance. Anyone have experience with that? The next thing they recommended was a bigger intercooler

After I order my IC and charge pipes for my 16 I’ll get the 170 degree t stat. What tune you running? E50?

Also, with the t stat opening at 180 now, the turbos are going be cooled more quickly. Cooler turbos equals more power

I'm running 93 octane performance tune . It seems to be running hotter on the interstate I suspect because the fans are running full speed and causing a flow obstruction. 5 star is reading the tune and should get back to me tomorrow.
They said the cooler thermostat should make power more consistant by cutting down on heat soak.
These ecoboost engines are amazing just a few mods make a big difference.
