So recently my 08 had these lights come on and stay on each time I started to drive. I put my code reader on it and pulled "B1342 ECU fault". Doing some research I found it could be the ABS Module, a wheel speed sensor or possible ground or connection issues. Depending on where I looked I'd get varying opinions on the solution but nothing definitive to steer me to the problem.

I decided to start cheap and easy and check the fuses and relays. Using the manual, I pulled each fuse and checked connectivity. All good so I put them back in. Low and behold the lights were out and stayed out all day. Being as they had probably never been pulled before I'm thinking it was a connection issue with one of them, no idea which one though.

Just food for thought for anyone having these lights and code with no other symptoms.

Hellow Anchorclanker, did you get the warning lights again, or did this fix the issue?

I wish I would have read this a week ago. Had the same symptoms, took it to my local Ford dealer who wanted to replace both the ABS module and the hydraulic module to the tune of $2k. I told them to replace just the ABS module, which set me back $900. So far, no more fault lights. I'm wondering if just refreshing the connections could have solved the problems.
On the bright side, it was cheaper to have the tranny flushed and refilled with proper Mercon LV than any local shop that I got estimates from ($169.00 at the dealer.)

Well, crap! Today the lights came back on. I have the same codes as before but now pulling the fuses has no effect. I'm going to check all the connections I can find and see if refreshing them make any difference.

No not yet. Had an unexpected trip to Florida so I haven't dug into it yet. Possibly this weekend.

Haven't checked the connections yet BUT i did connect my utility trailer up and after hooking up the lights on the factory 4way the dash lights went out. They have been off since Saturday morning. I have no idea wtf is going on.
