I actually struggled to find anything that provides more functionality than my current XLT Expy.

It seems that the designers had the same struggle too so they decided to put more screens!

I am happy with what Ford provides for 50% of the price.

I just mean that Jeep actually did a good job. It’s their first foray into full size market in decades.

there is always the non-grand Wagoneer if you wish to compare it apples to apples to an Expy XLT.

If you want to spend $100k+ on an FCA (excuse me, Stellantis) product...may God be with you. Haha

In all seriousness, the interior is very nice (very Navigator-y) but the exterior fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down (personal opinion, of course).

And I do agree with @Soliyou, it sure seems like they had trouble coming up with a way to justify the high sticker price so they just said "MOAR SCREENS!!". Which, to be fair, is what Dodge/Ram has done for about a decade although in that case it's horsepower not screens, so hey...go with what works.

I will be very interested to see the take-rate on the Grand Wagoneer. Not having a "premium brand" under their umbrella (Lincoln, Cadillac, etc), I am genuinely curious to see if folks that have $100k+ to spend on a vehicle will wander into a Jeep dealership.

("Stellantis"...what a name. "Do you suffer from mild to severe ___________, then ask your doctor if Stellantis is right for you.")

I totally agree that they did a great job. FCA are very good with interiors.

By the way, deep down inside, I am a Jeep guy :(

The main feature that I wish Ford will adopt is the air suspension.

I believe they are trying to do just that. If you notice nowhere on the vehicle does it say Jeep. They are trying to brand Wagoneer as it’s own brand. Also if you go to the website it only says Wagoneer at the top. No mention of Jeep anywhere.

They also talk about Wagoneer certified dealers and how it gets its own purchasing and service treatment for all the recalls they will have....well it doesn’t say that last part but based on our current Grand Cherokee and my Dads Ram experience that will be the case.

This is meant to be a sub brand, so they purposely left “Jeep” off. The list of specialized customer experiences is impressive, they are definitely going after a different crowd now, though the Grand Cherokee Summit has been pretty opulent as well lately. I had a 2011 Summit and the newest Summits put my 2011 to shame.

I’d gladly buy a Grand Wagoneer. I have no issues with spending “that kind of money on a Jeep”. It’s a bonafide luxury vehicle, and they’ve been there for a while now. I think they are finally just making that final push into legitimacy.

That said, I question the need of all the screens just to get the price into the stratosphere. I can’t stand the windows. I think it looks pretty hideous from the side. Front is fine. Rear is OK except the window.

I’m not sure if I would want the Ecoboost or the 6.4 Hemi. I was plenty happy with the 5.7 in my Grand Cherokee but this Ecoboost is definitely quicker.

Apparently there is still room in the segment for smega-lux SUVs (Bentley, Maserati, And of course Porsche) but no room fro F250-350 class Diesel SUVs.

The take rate on those would be too low. Maybe special order builds, but the take rate for a 90k - 100k 3 row suv with shoddy materials and rough ride just to tow 12k lbs wouldnt sound appealing to the average soccer mom.
