I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4, with the HD towing package. I have never towed with it or hauled heavy cargo.

At 91,*** miles, the vehicle began shuddering during light acceleration on level or uphill roads. No check engine light on, or flashing.

I took it to the dealer (took 8 days for an appointment) and while the technician was driving the vehicle, the transmission failed. He stated there were stored codes that confirmed the failure.

It took 51 days to be repaired under my Ford Premium Care warranty (42 days + 9 more days to fix it right).

The transmission fluid and filter was changed at 75,*** miles - not flushed (although Ford recommends 150,000 miles).

The shuddering felt like you were driving over road edge rumble strips and was intermittent.

Have you had the vehicle and the transmission scanned for any codes?

I had this exact issue. Took it to Ford dealer when it was still under warranty at 65k miles. It was the torque converter. They replaced it and that issue never came back.
