New Expd owner with some pics
No need to be sorry for all the questions. To pull apart the lense cover is wasnt too easy and definitely time consuming. i had to pre heat them many times and pull apart section by section while pre heating. I didnt have to to scuff the chrome, i just wiped it with windex and some of it...- 12v_dub

you won't melt them unless you leave em in the oven for a long time or go above 250 degrees. i would heat them up, try to pry of one part, put them back in to keep the silicone nice and soft and work my way out. once i pulled them apart, i would remove all of its silicone around the headlight...- 12v_dub
