    Another way is to replace your radio with an Android unit (it won't look much different than the Ford Stock Nav) and run Forscan. You can pretty much turn any PID into a gauge. You can try it out on your phone or computer first.

    Thanks for the tip. 98-02 crown vic/panthers have that issue. If it gets bad enough the LCA can detach from the frame. Because of the a/c dryer. That rots out too, it is covered in a foam blanket.

    Replacement brake pads

    If you can get these pads, they are pretty good: https://www.motorcraft.com/us/en_us/home/our-products/brakes/motorcraft-super-duty-pads.html I got them for my Explorer, very happy. They are better than the last set of regular Ford Pads.

    Yeah, I think 20K is a bit overpriced. I checked again today and now it is 19. The trade in 12Kish, that would be on a good day. Probably 16-17 is a fair price for 13' Limited EL with 130K. Since it is upstate NY there is some rust too.

    Motorcraft SW1547B Oil Pressure Switch Problem though is you are going to have to know how your oil pressure gauge works. The cluster may just move the needle to the center unless the sender is open. For something as new as these trucks, you may have to buy a kit and gauge.

    Except for blown plugs the 2v is pretty indestructible. Those are the crown vic engines. 5.4 is just a larger block. And a cam phaser system could be done right, Lexus and Toyota have v6 and v8 engines with a similar setup, a phaser failure is unheard of.

    I asked a Ford Dealer, they said to have an engine in mind if you don't know the service history. They said they do 5.4L's 3Vs every day. Usually they swap in a Ford Reman. Are there ones that have no problems? Sure. But he said you are welcome to come down this week to see some carnage.
