just got done battling with the passenger front o2 sensor. Fought the old one for two days trying to get it out then finally drilled a hole and welded a new bung in, then put the new sensor in that. The old one is just for looks now. Plugging the electrical connector in was nearly the hardest...
This has been a fun little project, I have been wanting to get another truck for a couple years now and the money just was not there until recently.
Good luck with your expy and thank you for serving!

console only has one screw in it, under the sunglasses holder. After that just pull it forward and down and it comes right down.
The truck does have the A4WD option. Does the dash 4x4 light up when that...
I have been driving the truck back and forth to work since I last updated this thread. It's been running just fine and have not had any serious issues. Putting about 60 miles a day on it. I got a chance to drive it in some fresh snow the other night, the snow tires rock. Never even considered...
I left the low beams halogen and added a 55W HID kit in 3000K temp to the fog lights. I got my kit from understeer.com and had it in about a weeks time. With the low beams and fogs on I'm able to see reflectors and signs probably a mile up the road. Very happy with it and have not been flashed...
having a similar issue with my truck. I think it's the antenna. my truck has the radio antenna built into the rear side glass and does not seem to pick up any stations. I'm not too worried about it but if you figure it out post up.
I'm nearly certain mine had only one screw in it. It's inside one of the flip down pockets. take the screw out, then pull the console forward and down and it should come right off.
hmm I was thinking about changing out my steering box to get rid of a little slop in the wheel. maybe I will just leave it, don't want to replace slop with overly sensitive.
can you clarify please? You say you don't have any additional wires or sensors. I take that as you did not take any wires or sensors from the truck you got the console with the display from.
If that is the case, take your old console down and look for a black plug that is not connected...
today was rainy and cold. I needed something to kill a little time on so I pulled the overhead console down and brought it in the house to do a couple things.
fixed my compass display thanks to info I found searching EF!
Next I did a mod I have been planning since I first started...
here is a pic from behind the wheel with the 3000K 55W xenon fog lights on.
Combined with the low beams I have no trouble seeing. I ran them on the way back from getting bulbs and no one flashed me either, I think they are aimed low enough they will not bother oncoming drivers. maybe if the...
Thanks again for your help. I looked inside the removable cover inside the truck on the left rear for a flat connector for trailer tucked away and did not see one. My old explorer was set up like that now that I think about it.
So yesterday the new headlight switch got here. Installed it and...
Thanks Steve. I just went out and had another look at the trailer wiring. It appears to be a straightforward add on with no splicing. I tested the trailer socket again for power with the running lights switched on. I am getting .5 volts to the running light pin of the trailer socket. I also...
