Blower motor bad pigtail? Different wiring? 2014 EL XLT

I was able to resolve the issues with my truck. I also had obvious damage to the pigtail and the blower motor control module (not the resistor). This fixed my issues. I used Motorcraft parts. I've read a lot of horror stories of folks using aftermarket pigtails and resistors.

    Aftermarket tie rod ends

Does anyone have experience using aftermarket tie rod ends on their Expy? I'd like to replace mine this weekend while doing a front brake job, if possible. I'm having a difficult time justifying $350 plus tax for Motorcraft tie rod ends at the local stealership in Houston. There's a...

Blower motor bad pigtail? Different wiring? 2014 EL XLT

Did you figure out the true cause of your issue(s)? Asking as the AC on my 2011 Expy decided not to blow any air today. Sure glad it isn't the hottest time of year here in Houston. lol

    2015 Rear A/C Hissing

The rear AC on my 2011 just started whining the other day. No clue what's going on yet but I plan to start troubleshooting this weekend.

How miles did you get out of your suspension?

Honestly, they were no better than the stock struts I pulled off the truck. I felt like a small sailboat getting rocked around in the ocean while driving with them. The OEM struts (shocks and springs) offer much better (firmer) ride quality than the KYB struts assemblies for me. I get the...

Just ordered a Quickjack and suspension parts

Check on their site. I don't believe they carry them in the stores.

How miles did you get out of your suspension?

My 2011 EL Limited has 100k miles. I just completed a huge suspension replacement where I replaced just about everything possible with the exception of the tie-rod ends. So, all controls arms (upper/lower), trailing arms, toe-link bars, stabilizer link bars, sway bar bushings, hub assemblies...

Just ordered a Quickjack and suspension parts

I believe last year's Black Friday deals was around $200 off. Not a huge discount, but it was enough to motivate me.

Just ordered a Quickjack and suspension parts

They normally have Black Friday deals. Costco also has deals on these as well if you're a member.

Just ordered a Quickjack and suspension parts

Ok... sorry for the extremely delayed update. Just got around to working on my wife's Expedition again and was finally able to break out my new Quickjack and put it to work. Overall, very pleased with the lift. It's soooooooo much easier working on the truck now without having to move the...

    Stuck Rotors

That statement just blew my mind. No joke. I beat the crap out of one of my rear rotors for two days last weekend to no avail. I've spent the last week watching tons of videos with tips that haven't worked for me. I actually removed the 4 hub bolts and NEVER thought to simply pull the whole...

    Replacing Body Mounts

Me too. I had 3 of the nuts break on me as well -- #3 mount on both sides and the #4 mount on the driver side. One broke as I was attempting to remove it while the other two broke as I tried to install the new mounts. I haven't cut into the floors, yet, as that's beyond my pay grade. I...

    Suspension noob questions...

I intentionally didn't share a photo or the name as I mentioned that it clearly couldn't handle the load of those springs. That said, the model I have is the Jegs strut coil spring compressor. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P6LYT4Z/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_8APXNN5C6WN0S4CGGE4Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

    Suspension noob questions...

Please don't flame me as I've done a ton of searching and have been unable to locate a solid answer to my question. I need to find the spring load for the OEM springs as my spring compressor has failed miserably to compress my springs. I have a 2011 EL Limited with 4x4. The Ford part numbers...

    Wheel bearings

I ordered Motorcraft hub assemblies from RockAuto. Not a fan of RockAuto, but they offered the best price on the hubs for my 2011.
