I had Sirius for years and years. Kept thinking that they'd get around to upgrading the bitrate quality. Not going to happen. Dropped them (took a 45 min phone call) and switched to Spotify. So happy. Should've done it sooner. Went back and activated the $3 per month traffic updates, though.
Last week the truck in front of me kindly decided to drop an entire bedroom set on the freeway. Doing 75 w/ traffic all around, I had no choice but to run it all over. Not much damage to my truck. Just ripped the right side fender liner and right fog lamp out, and some small damage to the air...
this one? https://www.jlaudio.com/products/sb-f-exped4g-10tw1-car-audio-stealthbox-ford-expedition-94688
Dang, that is pricey. Did you do the install? Any more info?
Others would need to verify, but pretty sure the seat is just 'vented' with ambient air, not actual A/C. Still works great though keeping your backside cool. I would imagine the seats are the same, and the air channels are there. Someone will know more.
Got my truck back yesterday. Almost 1 month to the day. List of parts they installed is 4 pages long lol. Some slight 'oddness' when shifting, but that may be its still learning? Glad to have it back, even if there is the slight odor of ATF inside. I'm sure that will go away.
My 18 has been in the shop for 1 month waiting on trans parts. No ETA as of yet. Waiting on the drum now. Good luck! Make sure you have extended rental coverage on your ESP.
And, latest update. Drum failed. Getting the updated part now. So, actually good news IMO. Might not have to go through all of this again any time soon.
Another update on this. They replaced the valve body yesterday and test drove today. Trans failed. They will now have to completely pull the trans down and do a more through rebuild (vs just having to pull the pan from the lift for the valve body). Indefinite ETA.
Update on this. Tech drove it, and tried to do adaptive memory reset. No better. Pulled trans down and found a chunk missing from valve body. Clutch packs are good, and everything else is good. Seems crazy it could get damaged like that. Oh well. Part is on back order and no tent. date on...
Just an update on this. I was able to find a dealer 90 mins away with avail appts. Drove it there today and dropped off. Barely made it. Slow to shift in virtually all gears now, and hard down shifts. Dealer said mine was the forth Exp in the past 2 months in there for same issues. Good...
wow, so Ford ESP only covers 10 days of rental, and the dealership won't cover a loaner until the actually start diag'n the car. That means if my trans blows up next week, i'm on the hook for a rental for 5+ weeks at least until they even begin to look at it. That can't be right.
Dealerships in town are saying at least 5 weeks before they can even start diag. I made an appt for middle of May. Is this trans going to last that long based on previous peoples experience? Does it fail all at once or slow downward spiral? TIA! Trying to plan out a strategy.
I've got almost 60k miles on my 2018. Cold shifts are getting worse. And now when warm, its shuddering on upshifts and downshifts. My question for those that have dealt with this before: do I take it to dealer now, or wait until it grenades? I have an extended warranty, so *should* be...
