Replaced blower motor resistor and wiring harness. Now only blows on high speed and can't turn off

Never mind...I found a diagram and had swapped two wires by accident

Replaced blower motor resistor and wiring harness. Now only blows on high speed and can't turn off

Need some help please. So recently my air stopped working in my 2016 Expedition due to the wiring harness going bad from getting bumped all the time. This would be the second time I've replaced it. Common issue due to the location and ability to get kicked frequently. This time though I replaced...

    Coil and plug recommendations

I just fixed this same issue. You have to go with Motorcraft plugs and coils. Aftermarket replacements don't cut it for Ford.

Rubbing sound only in the cold

Yeah I have to play it on my car radio to be able to turn it up loud enough to hear it. It makes the sound twice right at the end and a longer one in the beginning. I had new tires put on it yesterday and I know my alignment is off. Not sure if that's playing a roll, we'll see after I get...

Rubbing sound only in the cold

The other thing to take into account is I can sometimes drive and have it not happen at all. And other times it happens often‍♂️

Rubbing sound only in the cold

@Frank Wilson I appreciate the response. So I changed the rotors and pads this past weekend because of a warping issue (which is a whole other problem) and did just that. I spun both with the tires off and couldn't hear a thing. I'm going to try again with the truck on to see what happens...

Rubbing sound only in the cold

So after researching the IWE to see if it could be the problem I tried engaging the 4wd to see if the noise would go away and it actually was louder when it would happen to make the rubbing sound than if it was left in 2H. Any more thoughts? Thanks.

Rubbing sound only in the cold

@LokiWolf @Frank Wilson. Here's the video, hopefully you can hear it. The sound happens in the first 15 seconds or so after I back up and start to pull forward and right at the end when I pull into my driveway. Those are the most noticable. https://youtu.be/XSxd0sfG2Z0

Rubbing sound only in the cold

@LokiWolf yes we have had the tires rotated and even took it back Discount Tire to have them inspect the area because of the sound. Been lagging on getting the video but I'll try to get to it tonight. Thanks

Rubbing sound only in the cold

@LokiWolf no I haven't had a mechanic look at it yet. I like to try to figure these things out on my own. Could it be the wheel bearings? Oddly it started making the sound shortly after I had gotten new tires put on it a couple years ago. Could that have something to do with it. @Frank...

Rubbing sound only in the cold

It's not constant, sometime it will make the sound and sometimes it won't but it's always at slower speeds. No hard impacts, not getting worse, same sound for the last 2 years during colder fall/winter temps. Angle doesn't change sound. I'll try to get a video and post this evening. Thank you

Rubbing sound only in the cold

Thank you for the response. The sound doesn't go away as the engine warms though (if I'm understanding your response correctly). It will continue to happen throughout the drive at low speeds typically coming to a stop or taking off and it seems to happen more often after making a turn, like...

Rubbing sound only in the cold

Hey everyone, new to the forum and looking for some advice. I have a 2016 Expedition EL XLT 4WD. Since Nov. of 2020 and only when temps are around 35 deg and below I get a rubbing sound which sounds like it's coming from the front end at slow speeds and goes away as I speed up. Really...
