Resolved: Code P0174 (System too Lean Bank 2)

Hopefully that does the trick. Those lean codes can have so many different causes, I feel like vacuum lines/connectors are the culprit more often than not, sounds like you're on the right track. Good luck!

    ‘99 Exp 5.4 4X4 no heat?!?!

I second blend door actuator. If you had the front heater core replaced and both tubes from the heater core are hot, its got to be something stopping the blend door from switching to the hot side. It may not be the actuator itself (but that's where I would start) but its got to be blend door...

No 4x4 Low Indicator, No Actuator Movement 97 Expy

Yep, I think I used the same thing. It was pretty simple. The hardest/most annoying part is re-pinning the harness, but as long as you get that right it is pretty straightforward.

No 4x4 Low Indicator, No Actuator Movement 97 Expy

Are you in neutral when moving the switch to 4Low? That seems obvious, but I've made that mistake before - the truck will allow you to switch to 4x4 while in gear, but 4LO specifically you must be in neutral for it to work. You mentioned the bulbs. My '99 has a 'LOW RANGE' light that comes on...

    Camping fun

Had some fun camping this weekend. Truck did well besides feeling a little gutless trying keep it ~75MPH on some steep highway climbs in high elevation.

    Removing Roof Rack 2001

Try soaking them in PB Blaster for a while before removing them. Fortunately, all the torx bolts on mine came right out no problem, but I am in AZ so rust isn't really an issue here.

    Removing Roof Rack 2001

It was very simple, in my experience on my '99. The front crossbar has a fastener on each side that you're able to unscrew with your hands, then you can lift it straight up and out, pulling towards the rear of the vehicle. The rear crossbar I ended up leaving attached to the rails, unscrewed...

    Wheel bearings? Rear diff?

Here you can see the wear on the axle shaft. And here you can see the dent that somehow got put into the axle tube housing. I heated it with a torch and tried to hammer it out a little bit and also hit it with a die grinder. This whole job on both sides was quite a chore. Almost wish I...

    Wheel bearings? Rear diff?

I do think it was a bit of a case of howling rear diff. However the vibration is what I am really hoping to solve with wheel bearings. That and the fact that i'm not sure if they've ever been changed on the truck and it's got about 210k miles on it now. I just got done replacing wheel...

    Wheel bearings? Rear diff?

Thanks all! My gut is telling me it is rear end (though I could be wrong). I just need to decide if I want to save some money and just do the rear wheel bearings/seals and hope that takes care of it, or if I want to get crazy and put a TrueTrac back there while I have the diff open... Another...

    Wheel bearings? Rear diff?

A little info on the truck: it's a '99 A4WD 3.73 w/ LS I've had a mysterious howling/roaring sound for years that I honestly have a tough time hearing if it's coming from the front or rear. It's also accompanied by a vibration at highway speeds, which I always assumed was from crappy...

    Idle problems

Unfortunately this is a tough one, because it could be many things. Check all your vacuum lines first. Sometimes rubber boots split or become too weak and cave in under vacuum, or the hard plastic lines crack. Check the bigger hose at the very back of the intake, towards the firewall. If you...

Great looking truck, nice find with only 102k miles! I'll definitely be interested in seeing your build as it progresses. Good luck!
