Been driving around over the past few days, as well as letting the warm engine idle with the hood popped to observe. Haven't seen any more liquid or indication of leaks. Been looking at the crossover tube, intake manifold gaskets, coolant hoses, etc... Totally dry.
Interestingly, there is lots...
I wanted to follow up on this post and report that after 6+ months ~10,000 miles and some significant towing, the bracket has held up pretty well. I had to retighten it once after the initial install and a long road trip, but after that it's been solid. I still hear the slightest indication of...
Going to resurrect this thread because I have a similar issue:
1. I am very suddenly experiencing misfires, rough idle and driving
2. Forscan tells me it is cylinder 1, seems like that cylinder is barely firing at all given the 1000 plus misfires it recorded in the few minute drive home
3...
So I was able to locate the problem. There is a union where the hose has slipped out. This is just behind and to the passenger side above the headliner where the brake light assembly resides with the rear shut. Anyone recommend a certain glue/sealant to use here? Going to try and avoid dropping...
I’ve got wiper fluid running down from the headliner just in front of the c pillar. Is there an easy way to remove the c pillar cover? Or should I check a different connection first? Never had this occur before, but things have been frozen lately. Got the wiper fluid in it, not water, so hoping...
It took about two hours for installation. I left the wheel on, due to working in a sandy driveway, didn’t feel comfortable with jacking in those conditions. Would have gone more quickly taking the wheel off.
You take off the black fender guard and access the manifold from the wheel well. Have...
Thanks for that.
In my case, there are two holes at the back of the head just above the exhaust manifold. One small with not threads, and a larger one that is currently occupied by a large bolt supporting the transmission fluid dipstick.
It is my understanding that the specific bracket for a...
Very interesting, thanks.
In your situation, which bolt was broken? I stumbled across this particular manufacturer trying to find a solution for a broken passenger side lower bolt.
Anyone have experience using the Kral brackets on a 5.4 3v Triton?

This kind of bracket attaches to the head and uses a bolt to push the manifold back down against the gasket/head.
Seems like a good short term solution if...
Thanks for the suggestions!
I found this video from Ford Tech Makuloco that shows a procedure for removing the passenger side exhaust without lifting the engine. Not sure if it makes it simpler or more frustrating with tighter clearances.
