Changed out the fuel injectors on the '09, runs beautifully for now. The new coil pack and injector combo have smoothed it out and restored power. The transmission shifts very smoothly and way earlier. I cleaned out the throttle body that sits on top of the intake since it was pretty gunked up...- brcknrdg Rob

I replaced all of the original with cheapo chiese ones "ACCEL" I believe. I thought I had kept the original good ones seperate from the bad one but doubted my certainty so instead of taking a chance I replaced them all with verifiable motorcraft coilpacks. The rattle is definitely in the engine and not a heat shield rattling. Im not sure how else to verbalize a "slight misfire" without being even more incorrect. From what I have heard there are many signs of faulty positioning but I may be wrong. I scanned the codes and replaced the coil packs...- brcknrdg Rob

Thank you for your advice, we have serviced at all intervals for the most part and to date we have only needed to replace 1 battery and 1 water pump which has gotten us to 183000 miles. I'm not sure where the severe lack of maintenance is coming from. I think a few problems at nearly 200000...- brcknrdg Rob
