Burning smell
You very well could have a bad transmission temperature sensor. I pulled over, let it cool, got home and drove to dealership next day with no issues. I was under warranty. Sensor replaced and it ran “well” after- Buda Max

mystery transmission issue
I have had issues with a faulty transmission temperature sensor but it was obvious place to look with temperatures going high and the gears shifting like crazy at random moments, especially the higher temp readings. corrected to state “sensor”- Buda Max

Have the dealer check your AC service ports. I took my 2018 in several times for AC concerns on top of every other issue I had throughout last couple years.
