Transmission swap - still not working
Working on a 2003 expedition. Started having issues with transmission. Front start up, it didn’t want to go right into gear, acted like it was still in neutral. Mash on throttle a little, it would jump into gear and go no problem. Pulling up to stop light, it would act like it fell into neutral...- Caleb Boyer

Update - actually yes I have seen the above video, that is the actuator on top that I already replaced. Like you mentioned in the next post, my tapping culprit seems to be coming from lower near the floor board in the center.- Caleb Boyer

Edit : I flushed out the heater core today. Lots of junk came out. After this, had heat. However, I changed the temp back to AC, and 60 degrees, got cold, and now I can’t get my heat back. I replaced the actuator under the front dash yesterday, took a look at the blower motor in the rear, looks...- Caleb Boyer

Hi all. 2003 expedition with 5.4 L Winter is almost here, I have no heat. Been noticing a tapping when I change temperature, which goes away after a while. I just replaced thermostat, and engine temp is good. I replaced the blend door actuator, but still have a tapping noise and still no heat...- Caleb Boyer

No Power - Possibly Stopped Up Cats?
So I can’t believe it’s almost been a year but I felt obligated to update. I took a saw and cut out the cats and sure enough, they were completely stopped up. Running pipe through these and a few new coil packs later I was up and running smoothly!- Caleb Boyer

I will get on that and update findings. Glad to know the feeling is mutual. I bought a fuel pressure test kit from harbor freight, but it doesn’t have the fitting ford uses apparently. Any downfall to cutting out the Cats and running a pipe through them?- Caleb Boyer

Hi all. I have a 2003 expedition with a 5.4 I’m trying to get rolling again. At first, I noticed the truck had a miss around 55MPh, thinking a coil pack was bad. Eventually, problems got worse, to the point the truck wouldn’t drive over 50MPH at all. The top speeds kept reducing to the point...- Caleb Boyer
