    I dunno. 1/2 ton vehicle with 3.31 and a 5.4 won't pull much IMO. I have heard that the EcoBoost does much better, but I ain't got one of those. I had a V-10(3 actually) with 3.73 and would have rather had 4.10 in any of them. My trailer was 6000 lbs. I should mention I buy used trucks, thus...

    Thanks to the folks at Orange Coast Auto, my new to me 2012 got new pads and rotors. It had been done by them before they put it up for sale.

    To adjust the electric brakes if your trailer has them. Without seeing it I can't be sure, but it would be my best swag.

    ok not bulb but they have to have a bright display for daytime, and it's either from more voltage or ??? I can't see it being program-related or a setting gone rogue.

    I'm assuming the nighttime bulb is the dim thing we are seeing now. It's fine at night. It NEEDS to be brighter in the daytime and the easiest way(to me) would be to add a bulb (or turn on another element in the same bulb) for daytime. It's what we used to call a SWAG when troubleshooting back...

    I have that on my 2012. Haven't found a solution, but I'm thinking there is a bulb out. It should be more like the turn signal, you would think. I have ordered a service manual, but have to await its arrival. I will be scouring the schematics.

    Built 5.4

    V10 is high rev. You can feel the power kick in when you get it high(4k'ish) in the range. It does not climb hills well with a trailer @2000-3000. And, when used as an engine for irrigation, they aren't "idling" @ 2k, they are working @ the higher revs. This is my experience after 3 V-10s.

    The 5.4 is modular, as is the V-10, of which I've had 3. I'm new to the 5.4. The V10 loves high RPM. Oh, another thing about V10s is, there's not much to improve on. It gets plenty of air, as one example. So, I really can't speak to the 5.4, it's still new to me.

    What is the best year Expedition to buy?

    Spark plugs need to be retorqued every year, not replaced. They come loose WAY before they blow out.
