You sure the 3.5EB in the Expedition got dual injection in 2017? I thought the F150 got it in 2017 but the Expedition always seems to be a year behind. Our Expeditions often seem to be the stepchild. :)

I'm running an oil catch can on the right (starboard) bank of cylinders. Rarely have much oil -- a shot glass at most -- but I'm still below 50K miles. I thought there was a recall on the turbochargers some years ago which I would have done since my truck shows no open recalls other than the...
Similar reason I bought my 2017 vs a 2018. Change just for change annoys me. Change merely for bling really annoys me. Major issue for me back then was the substitution of a flat knob vs lever for the transmission. I rarely have to look at the lever. And what was wrong with the column...
My Expeditions (on #2) only exist to tow my ~6500 pound camper in the summer. Everyday driving of course but any car can do that.
87octane is all that's been needed even in what passes for mountains here. I've run 93 but have never noticed any difference.
YMMV.

I vaguely recall the Blue wire being "blunt cut and dipped" and tied or wrapped or taped back where the trailer would connect. A say vaguely as I installed an aftermarket trailer interface on my 2007 (don't think there was a factory version 20 years ago) and that's where it was. There may also...
Part of the design is to leave the "ports" hot all the time. Innocent items like a "microwave detector" or any other device will drain the battery. I don't drive my '17 daily and have resorted to a 8"x12" solar charger on the dash to keep the battery charged even though nothing is left plugged...
Motorboat trailers are different designs than campers and other conventional trailers. Due to all the weight behind the axle a boat trailer only needs a minimum of 5% (five percent) on the loaded trailer's weight on the ball. In the case of your 5,000 boat trailer that's only 250 pounds and I...
Five-o-Clock hasn't been back since he asked for assistance so we'll just have to continue to guess about what Expedition options are on the SUV, the trailer, and exactly what WDH he has. :)

Seems I misread what the Hensley Arrow hitch could do -- only looked like it did sway control with no mention in that post that it was also WDH. Still $3000 is a lot more money vs something known to work like the Equalizer.
But neither hitch will allow an overweight trailer. Nor do band aids...
Good advice. But what "Hitch bars?" He doesn't have any that I could determine since he doesn't have a WDH just some sort of magic sway control.
Hopefully we'll find out what trailer he has. I fear the same trailer dealer that sold him the super expensive "sway control" sold him the new...
$3000 sway control that doesn't include weight distribution?
2025 Ford towing guide shows the maximum allowable trailer weight is 7,000 pounds with a maximum tongue load (weight allowed on the ball) of 700. Unless you use a WDH (not gizmos like shocks or airbags) which increases this to...
I used ForScan to turn the fog lights on my 2017 plebeian XLT into DRLs and they work in both modes. If you have DRLs perhaps you can do the opposite?
