    Weird noise under light acceleration

    I have a similar sound on my 2018, but it’s 2WD. ‍♂️

Rear Hatch "misbehaving" -- anyone else have this problem?

I had this happen probably 1 out of 5 times with my 2018. Dealer said it was a known issue and there is a software update available. Haven’t had an issue since they did the update.

What did you do to make yours look just a little different?

Thanks. I used Power Acoustic units I got from Sonic Electronix.

What did you do to make yours look just a little different?

It seems like every light in my 18 Limited is an LED except the license plate lights. Not anymore. Before: After:

Thud under gas pedal when taking off

I almost liken it to slight play in a driveshaft that gets bound up when torqued (if that makes sense).

Thud under gas pedal when taking off

I get the same thing. It’s most definitely not the auto stop/start. I spent 12 years in the car business. Many of those as a service manager. The auto start is blatantly obvious. This is more muted than that and feels like someone tapped the floor once with a rubber mallet.

Headrest and flip down DVDs on pano roof

For the headrest, I used the Power Acoustic screens from sonicelectronix.com. There are no wires pre-run for any of this. I ran everything as needed.

    Factory DVD or aftermarket

I installed my own aftermarket system. 2 headrest DVDs and a flip down for the 3rd row. All in for less than $600.

Headrest and flip down DVDs on pano roof

I didn’t order any special parts beyond the DVD players. There isn’t any bracing that’s accessible in the headliner due to the air conditioning vents running through there. I ended up cutting a piece of plywood (12” x 20” or so) and used liquid nails to glue it to the headliner. The headliner...

Headrest and flip down DVDs on pano roof

Had to get creative and re-engineer some things to make this work on my 2018 Limited, but it’s keeping the kids quiet on the longer trips. Dealt with 3 defective units, so I’ve done this process multiple times. Lol.

What did you do to make yours look just a little different?

I installed headrest DVD players on the back of each front seat and a flip down DVD in my 2018 Limited. That took some creativity with the panoramic roof.

    Bang & Olufsen

Unfortunately, there is no adjustment for any OEM system (aside from the standard adjustments built in: bass, treble, etc) without adding additional components. It’s a slippery slope. You add one piece to improve the sound. Then, it sounds so much better if you just do this second piece. Then...

    Bang & Olufsen

It’s decent equipment but still considered an evonomy/budget priced line. If you’re looking for significant sound quality, it wouldn’t be where I would start.

    Bang & Olufsen

Most guys are focused on the brand name. I focus on the materials the drivers are made of. Most Sony stuff is associated with Walmart (rightfully so). But, Sony also made a GS series of speakers that had titanium tweeters, mineral filled poly woofer cones, and bi-ampable crossovers. Super high...

    Bang & Olufsen

As another former sound quality competition judge, competitor, and car stereo shop owner, I’d put the B&O system in the same category as most “brand name” OEM systems: the best of the worst. Car manufacturers aren’t too concerned about creating an amazing sounding system. They’re concerned with...
