    yea and funny thing as karma would have it, the factory sub just stopped playing this morning on my way to work lol...I agree with him firemann an aftermarket amp gives a much cleaner signal to the sub and lets it pound much harder with much deeper bass...My plan is to install my Pioneer AVIC 7"...

    well I can tell you that your Memphis sounded like crap because Memphis is crap. Im bing to ld just about any 8" sub will fit..personally JL Audio and Kicker Comp VR come to mind if youre looking for deep bass and keep the enclosure...Im about to start the same upgrade that youre mentioning...
