    A Dying Breed

I see your t-birds and raise you... Same color combo, but I t’s not an actual picture of mine, which had tinted windows and removable headlight covers (remember those?). Although I really wanted the Mark VIII of the era.

    A Dying Breed

Aspen, I’ve never paid more than $51k for a vehicle in my life. As far as MPG expectations go, yes, I was hoping a smaller displacement engine would out perform “the winner, and STILL King of Fuel-inefficiency” 5.9 L Durango I had back in the dotcom days (yes, I’m that old). The Dodge won it by...

    A Dying Breed

I’ve come to bid farewell to the Expy forum as I just signed the paperwork to sell mine. I don’t regret the three years of ownership (it swallowed everything I shoved into it) although to say the fuel economy was disappointing would rate in the top 5 understatements in history. It’s a slightly...

    Best Anti-Break-in Alarm?

Thanks Jeff, I actually prefer idiots like you who wear their racism on their sleeve. At least we know to pretty much ignore anything you say! :scum:

Soon to come 2019 Limited Stealth

Wait, the wheels and tinted headlights make it stealth? Also, the cool thing about the Stealth Bomber is that it’s Black! And they had the nerve to call the option on my lowly ‘17 the Appearance Package! Now THAT’S Stealth!!

    Liftgate chrome piece replacement

FYI, the EL on my ‘17 liftgate chrome piece were just stuck on with adhesive. I took them off the same way I debadged the rest of the liftgate.

Turn off Double Honk when key not in car?

Oh sure, blame the AI!! :D

2019 Model actual MPG way lower than expected

You are assuming an inverse relationship between fuel consumed traveling uphill versus what is consumed traveling downhill, and I think there are far too many variables to make that correlation (speed, grade, road, load, accessories, aerodynamics, transmission, etc.). Also, are you suggesting...

2019 Model actual MPG way lower than expected

You also have to consider terrain; the hills in western PA kill my MPG regardless of the car I drive. Even my wife's new EV range is impacted by the hills.

    Tinted Tail Lights

In all honesty, I didn’t want them as dark as they turned out, but I have come to appreciate the look. With LEDs and the third taillight, I’m not too worried about much of an adverse impact on visibility. That said, I hope I don’t have to find out the answer to the question of liability though...

Your favorite addition or accessory to your expedition?

Stock, but I bought them at https://www.smokedouttaillights.com/expedition (I still have the originals in case I fail state inspection). I still have the factor bulbs but plan to try led plug-ins.

    Debadging a '17 Expy Tailgate

Nope, vinyl-wrapped. Same with the Ford emblem.

    Brake Rotors

I’d be happy to meet you at the next track day at your venue of choice.

    Brake Rotors

i have come to accept that I will inevitably warp the rotors on any Ford vehicle I own, and it’s taken less than 20k miles on my ‘17 Expy EL to prove me right. I also accept that it is likely a result, at least in part, of my driving style as well as my propensity to get my car washed when the...
