Took the Expy to my local dealer and it was a waste of time. And I quote, not once but twice "We generally don't work on vehicles this old". WTF? They said leave it there and they'll look at it. 3 days later I hear nothing, they did nothing, so I picked it up. Talk about frustrating. SMH- Fasttimes

I did think of this, and when issue is happening I did move to neutral and tried the start but no change. Also wiggled the key back and forth, back turn/forward turn, wiggle butno change. Update: This gremlin still eludes me. 2 shops, 4 starters, starter relay, new battery and an ignition switch later and no fix. I have a 2010 with HD tow. There is already a plug for the brake controller. Buy a Prodigy brake controller your self, very easy. Yeah, cleaned terminals. I'll have to figure out my next move. I would like to change out the key cylinder to remove that from the list but not sure if I want to try or let a dealer do it.- Fasttimes

Ugh, issue just happened again. Turn the key, nothing, turn off, turn the key, nothing, turn off. Turn the key, starter grinds, turn off, turn the key, starts up. 4 more tries, starts each time. I replaced the ignition starter part. Simple job, $38 for the Motorcraft original and about 20 min of my time. Been down with the flu so I haven't been driving much but I did 8 start/stops and drove it one day to work and so far no problems. I'm hoping that was the problem, but jury is out till...- Fasttimes

Yes, you can do your best to make your non-HD truck into an HD truck. A good WDH would be required no matter what. The Class IV hitch should be fine. Add the 7 pin connector. Add the aux oil/trans cooler. Upgrade to an HD radiator. Add new HD springs all around. Add a Prodigy brake...- Fasttimes

As Jason said, that's too much trailer for that truck. You'll be over the limit in all kinds of areas. You just got the trailer? What kind of trailer is 31 feet and 5600 dry? What is the tongue weight?- Fasttimes
