Transmission Flush or Change Fluid/filter ?

Bought a used (1 owner-elderly) 08 Expy EB with 27,000 miles on it last month and now have 30,000 miles on it. Service advisor has suggested transmission flush. Is this really needed at this time or could I wait to 50,000? Thx
