Hello,
I'm having an issue with my 2015 expedition.
I changed the brake light switch due to an issue where the brake lights were staying on while the vehicle was off.
After replacement, the truck will not start. It just says "press Brake to Start" in the display. But pressing the brake...
Hey, sorry for the late response. I broke my wrist and had surgery so I haven't been able to do any testing. I'm going to give it a shot in the next day or two if I can grasp my tools appropriately.
Luckily I do have the diagram. It is what I used in my troubleshooting to this point. I'll attach it here. Let me know at which point I should be checking the voltage.
Yes I have the exact same vehicle. Like I said in the post, I used plug and play aftermarket HIDs, which I subsequently replaced with my factory halogen, after two sets of HIDs failed to work. I did not alter any wiring. The factory bulbs are not working either.
My Low Beam headlights will not turn on at all on my 2015 Expedition.
- High Beam headlights work normally
- Fog Lamps work normally
- Problem occurs on all headlamp settings, auto lamp, fogs on and off, etc
- Problem occurs on both right and left lamps
- Headlamps are plug and play...
Long story short: After more work on this problem and after inspection by two mechanics, my only remaining option to (hopefully) resolve this problem is an engine rebuild. The best I can guess at this point is clogged passages since nearly everything else has been eliminated.
SO MY QUESTION...
Yes, I changed all 8 spark plugs and all 8 COPs last year. I would definitely like to change both the VCTs. I'm just not sure how much more effort that driver's side one will be.
The oil has less than 1,000 miles on it. I changed it two weeks ago. It has been changed at least twice before...
So an update:
The rough idle remains with gas cap off.
The rough idle on incline disappears when the incline is nose down.
Replaced the PCV hose, no change.
Cleaned the ERG passages, no change.
Re-inspected the vacuum hoses I could identify when TB was off. None appear to be...
OK, I'll see if I can get a fuel pressure gauge. Will I be able to test it idling when no problem present or does it have to have symptoms at that moment?
Yes, I did replace the gasket under the Throttle Body. It actually came with the TB Motor for some reason.
