wow thats a beautiful Expedition. Yes I can see why she would be unhappy with the Explorer. They are too small and although they sell Lotts of them the Expedition is full size and you got a great one there.- fordexpylvr

I took mine on a trip to Colorado last month and didn't record mileage but it didn't give me any problems. I love the 15 thru 17 models. I wanted red but to hard to find and got Oxford white.- fordexpylvr

It seems like there are more Expeditions for sale rather than Expedition EL. I am referring to 17 or 18. Rental companies use both and so do lease companies. It appears there is about 2000 dollars more for a used EL over the regular. New 18 is about 2700 more. I have purchased a Oxford white 17...- fordexpylvr

so what year etc did you get? I am on my 2nd Expy first was a 07 now I have a 17 was a rental. I have 38k on it. Like you I went on a trip with it. Drive about 1800 miles round trip and no trouble. I am from Perry Iowa- fordexpylvr

white or silver are excellent choices. I got white a used 17 and preferred the dune interior over black. The 18 should be quite a bit less money than the 19 I would think.I would have loved the ceramic interior but wasn't offered in 17- fordexpylvr

2006 XLT 125k Timing Chains
I had a 07 expy with about 80 k miles. started getting a misfire here and there. coil pack here and there and a plug. ended replacing all plugs and coils. I wasn't waiting on a cam phaser too. with all the problems I had plus the left quarter panel was getting very rusty underneath I traded it...- fordexpylvr
