2017 Lost all power going uphill

I swapped the throttle body on my 17 limited when this happened a few times. It’s an easy swap and wasn’t too expensive. Was right around 90k miles too.

2017 Ecoboost with P051B check engine light

Just want to say that this thread was really helpful to me, so thank you to everyone who posted! The CEL code P051B popped up multiple times even after clearing it. The replacement part is FL3Z-6758-A. The original part is FL3E-6758-CC, which the dealer could not look up. No codes since...

I bought the one for the mustang used for 50. Yes they make them for the 2015 Expedition.

read my write up - you can get one from a mustang and modify it to work.

    Catch Can rape alternative

Do a quick search on it. Theres a few vids that explain it. and countless discussions on the web sites / forums. Even if you just searched for PCV to learn how it works, that would help you. Turbo's add more pressure to the cylinders which can create more 'blow by'. that makes the PCV...

    Catch Can rape alternative

Well, its installed! Was pretty easy if you ask me. So long as you have a heat gun! Here's the write up, with some pics. https://geargambler.blogspot.com/2019/08/jlt-oil-separator-install-2017.html

    Catch Can rape alternative

For those following this thread, I found that some mustang folks have the oil separator for sale on ebay for much less than buying new. I’ll be picking one of those up and modifying it to lengthen the hoses so it works for my 2017 expedition limited. If it works, I’ll do a quick write up on...

    Transfer Case and Differential Fluid

From my printed owners manual, page 310. Transfer case fluid, (US and Mexico) Motorcraft transfer case fluid XT-10-QLVC WSS-M2C938-A Mercon LV

    Transfer Case and Differential Fluid

Thank you for mentioning the transfer case fluid. I did read about that. The motorcraft stuff is pretty expensive ($40 per qt on amazon?). Valvoline makes a transfer case fluid that meets the XL12 spec that is WAY less expensive...

    Transfer Case and Differential Fluid

I know the procedures. I'm asking here about the fluid to be used. I have a 2017 Expedition Limited. Front differential - 80w90 with no friction modifier Rear Differential - 75w 140 synthetic, with friction modifier 2.75 quarts (3). Transfer Case - XL12 transfer case fluid. 2 quarts. Let...

    17 Ecoboost

That is classic! My first time towing with this 2017 limited was with a 24 foot enclosed trailer with a 2016 mustang in it. I was delivering it to the philly auto show because the weather was crappy. It was a slow ride down, getting used to the sway control. I think I could have moved the...

    LT Tires / Load Range

Interesting that you're the second one to mention these tires. And I appreciate the info on the PSI - I had not considered that. Typically I would just keep the tire pressure at the rated pressure (xl rated tire). I do understand that the load range E can go to the higher PSI!

    LT Tires / Load Range

Agreed! Comfortable towing is the entire package. I completely understand (won't get into details). For this thread, I'm just talking about where the rubber meets the road! nice to see another tire that works great in snow and has the credentials to tow with!
