    3" Body Lift Issues

Not as much trimming as I thought. Looks really good, Cajun!

    3" Body Lift Issues

I've owned this 97 XLT since early 2000, and installed the body lift about 10 years ago and used it as a daily driver and ran 35" mud terrains for about 2.5 years. The last 7 years, it has been stored at my parents' in Northern NV and driven occasionally by my Dad. 3 years ago, I had front...

Cut the Bumper or Get a Lift--Advice Needed

BTW - I did the 3" PA body lift myself. It it a real pain in the a$$! Aside from adding 3" pucks, you need to add an extension to your steering shaft, lower your radiator, add an extension to your fuel filler, and adjust your bumpers. You also end up with a horrible gap between body and frame...

    My MOAB Bucket list build..

What are your thoughts on the Milestar's? I'm considering a set of 35s, which should fit just fine with my 3" BL -- previously ran a set of 315 Pro Comp MTs -- but want a bit more lift for wheeling, as the ProComps tended to rub pretty bad with articulation

New Toy! 1998 Expedition XLT 4x4

Thanks for the response - I'm interested in how much lift the F250 springs yield. As someone else mentioned, the Z71 springs will lift a 1/2 ton Suburban 2" in the rear. I'd prefer to get a slight lift from springs rather than using a spacer

    3" Body Lift Issues

Thanks, Craig. I don't remember it riding this badly. I'll probably replace rear track bars and all the suspension bushings

    3" Body Lift Issues

The Expy is currently not my daily driver, but that will probably change in the next month or so. I have a 3" PA body lift, installed on the original rubber body mounts. I've noticed that the ride is really bad - shocks are newer Bilstein 4600s. I am considering getting the Energy Suspension...

Cut the Bumper or Get a Lift--Advice Needed

With a 3" body lift, I have run 315/70/16 MTs on my '97 4WD XLT. There was extremely minor rubbing on full lock of the wheel. My mileage really sucked, so I'm currently running 285/70/16 BFG ATs. I plan on switching back to 35s, but will be re-gearing to 4.56

    Battery light is on

Yes, Charging System Light. On the '97 XLT Expedition, it's simply a lit up red outlined battery on the instrument panel. I bought it used with 30,000 miles and it never came with an Owners Manual. Thanks for the diagram, but the 2003 is a redesigned model. I'm going to keep searching to see if...

    Battery light is on

This is an old thread, but I'm experiencing something similar with my '97 XLT 5.4L. Never had an issue with Battery Light staying on, but bad alternator recently killed the battery. Got a new battery and just changed out the alternator. Expy seems to be running good, charging level looks good...

New Toy! 1998 Expedition XLT 4x4

Question on the F-250 springs: What year F-250 would you be sourcing from? This is for rear only, right? This wouldn't work for the front?

Starkman's Expedition - Big Red Elephant

What kind of swaybar disconnects do you plan on using? As you most likely know, most upgrades that are available, if any, are geared towards F-150s. I still haven't seen any sway bar disconnects and have also thought about this. Will you also be disconnecting the rear sway bar?
