    Auto Start, Shift to Park then Restart Engine error

    I highly recommend to get the auto stop delete. Very easy to install.. no more surprise shut down.. or worse.. surprise start as someone is getting in or out of the car.

    Interesting. I have 96k on my 18 expy.. 135k on a 17 transit van. The van has that problem. A few times lately when cold, first start. acts like in neutral for a few seconds. Has 3.5 non turbo. I wonder if same tranny?

    Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

    Me too. Must be the same age.. My expy dial shift. Push buttons shifting into 4wd by accident mode switch. My 17 transit has shift knob in the center of the dash and my 06 f350 on the column where it belongs. All 3 have wiper controls in different places.

    Auto Start Stop Damage turbo's?

    The worst is that it starts in gear.. The torque converter. I installed the auto stop eliminator. Works great. Stupid idea. One time my son was getting out of the car and I was not holding my foot on the break hard enough and the car re started surging forward.

    Should it Stay or Should it Go Now?

    If you going to add oversize tires and skid plate, sounds like you going to abuse it.. If that the case don't bother with the repairs. You should be able to get another 150K out of it if you take care of it. I can normally get 200k.. 250k or more out of my ford trucks..

    I have an 18 MAX with heavy tow pkg the 4 x 4 has high / low. just dont be surprised when your fuel mpg drops to 10 mpg when towing. 18 -- 19 normal.. but much better when not traveling 80 mph

    Not a huge fan of the shift dile... or the mode dial. The 2 x 4 and 4 x 4 buttons have been bumped more than a few times. I don't like the fact that you have to reset the mode to eco every time I start the car. Heck, My motorcycle even remembers the last turn signal I used when I restart...
