I've looked under the car 3 times now and I can't find a number. It is possible they are blocked from view or under a sticker maybe. Strutmasters repackages the struts so the boxes aren't from the manufacturer....hence no numbers there either. Sorry, not much help.
They are the same either way.
Yes it is if you have the tools. There are several bolts in the 300+ foot-pound torque range which exceeds most common torque wrench settings. For some of the larger nut sizes I had to buy impact sockets and a 3/4" breaker bar. It's a big job, took us 9 hours with...
I just installed a strutmasters kit with the lift spacers on my '09. I believe the struts were made by Rancho. The original struts felt much to soft and the vehicle seemed way too "mushy" for my taste. The new struts are a vast improvement and IMO the Expedition feels more like a truck now than...
I would like to lift my 09 a couple of inches but most everyone I have contacted regarding this panics because of the load leveling system. I can't see the big deal in disabling the system. I was leaning toward the Strutmasters setup but they cannot confirm if their kit will work in an '09 and I...
I started over and ended up one link tighter on the WDH and then took the camper to the RV store. They took it up another link and it feels pretty good now. I have also recently towed my ski boat for a round trip of over 400 miles. The Expedition towed that well and I feel more confident with it...
I have squeezed the steering wheel so tight it is flat now. I'm taking everything to the RV service center tomorrow. Thanks to all for the assistance. Hopefully by Saturday I'll be posting what an awesome tow rig the Expedition is!
I don't have the manual and there is not one on the website. I pulled the following number off the shank: MH01M03 and a sticker with the trailer weights and corresponding tongue weights was numbered 2204-02-385. According to the sticker the WDH is good up to 12K. I'm going to try to redo the...
I think I start over setting up the WDH. It's a model made by Husky but I don't have the part number:
http://www.huskytow.com/Products.aspx. I'm also leaning toward replacing the passenger car tires with some LT's.
I believe the towing capacity is 8700 or 8900 lbs. I do have a WDH with one sway control bar. I believe everything is set up properly and this is based on a little trial and error. Initially I had too much weight off the rear axle but now vehicle and trailer appear level. If anything it may be a...
Hello, I really could use some opinions regarding towing with an Expedition. I have made 2 trips towing a 7000 lb GVW camp trailer and have felt uneasy both times. I have a 2009 EL with the towing package. The truck has adequate power and the 6-speed in tow-haul mode is impressive, however the...
We had a Navigator at work for a few days and the tempation to aquire the 2nd row console was almost overwhelming. I'm going to measure tonight but it looks like it would interfere with the arm rests in an Expedition
I would appreciate that. I'd like to do my homework on it. I'll bet the console is close to 1K, well at least at my dealership! Tonydiv, I'm thinking I might want to get the plates on it before trying to build anything that elaborate, lol!
I was wondering if anyone has tried this. I have an '09 with 2nd row captains chairs. I was wondering if you could put a Navigator floor console between them? Would the fold down arm rest on the captains chairs hit the floor console? I'm sure Ford wants a premium for an interior part like...
