99 EB Air Suspension Questions
I bought and installed these replacement air bags 5 years ago for 1999 XLT 4WD https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008032T0I/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 $50/each. Pretty easy to install and no problems so far. The rest of the air suspension is original.- FoothillsJim

What is this screened vent/filter looking item?
OK, thank-you! The paper or foam material I am seeing (behind the grid) must be to keep small critters out of the passenger compartment - or is the inlet just the entire roof fabric?!- FoothillsJim

What is this screened vent/filter looking item?
I have a 1999 XLT Expedition 4WD, w/rear A/C. What is this screened area at the top of the hatch frame (just above the seal) at the rear of the vehicle? It kind of looks like a filter behind the black plastic grid, but the vehicle does not list any cabin filter. Original owner, stock vehicle.- FoothillsJim

How to keep all lights off even with doors open?
Like YupsterDog, I pull the fuse under the dash. Just takes a few seconds once you get used to it. You do end up with a the dash coverplate, fuse box cover, fuse, and fuse puller (in the dash coverplate) to keep somewhere - which can be an issue if you or others are going in and out while car...- FoothillsJim

Fuel problem?
Just replaced the fuel pump on my 1999 Expedition XLT 5.4L 4x4, 135,000 miles. The symptom was engine turning over but not firing/starting - only sometimes, but got worse quickly. What is the grill covered opening under the tailgate, up high in the center, below the brake light? Expy Build - Heading to Mexico
My '99 XLT 5.4 with 130K miles just needed new air springs in the rear - I would check those if you have the air suspension. Also recently needed new stabilizer links in the front suspension. Visor vanity mirror replacement
Update: Remove visor from car (2 screws, pull wire to get electrical connector out and visible and disconnect). Remove cover over lamps.
