Since I check my tire pressure weekly, I disabled the TPMS system after a failed module. Frequent tire pressure checks is how my dad did it, back in the day.
Had a similar problem. Uses zip ties to make sure all wire harnesses were not resting on anything metal. Haven't had a problem with multiple lights on the dashboard as of yet. My vehicle is a 2007 Expy but this seems to be a simple solution for all generations.
