Dealer has replaced the valve body. When the transmission is cold, I still have a noticeable delay between 3/5. After it warms up, the shifts are firmer. Dealer says this is normal.
Is it normal to still have a delay when cold or should I hit another dealer?
Larry H Miller in Mesa. The reviews aren’t the best but I have had a good experience. Obviously, I’d prefer to not have to keep going back but I do feel like they are attempting to fix the issue.
I’m not at fluid puking but I had the full TSB done. First was just the re-learn cycle. That didn’t work so they replaced the valve body. That appears to not be working either so back to the dealer I go. Only 1500 miles and 2 months left on my warranty. Fortunately my dealer has been super easy...
Yup, dealer did the relearn cycle on the transmission. It didn’t fix it. Dealer is now replacing the valve body but it’s on backorder so it will be several weeks before I know if that resolves the issue.

I have the delayed/harsh upshift issue. Relearn cycle did not resolve issue so Ford approved a valve body replacement per the TSB.
Two questions: The vehicle has 67k miles. With them dropping the Trans pan and replacing fluid, does this technically count as a trans service? I was going to do...
Ultimately, I am not upset if that ends up being the case and covered under warranty. Given that I have driven plenty of vehicles well over 200k miles, I’m happy to not foot the bill for major repairs.
Quick update, dropped it off at the dealer. They made some comment about the Blue Certified warranty not kicking in for 30 days but after telling them I bought it from them 2 weeks ago they took it.
They haven’t touched the transmission yet but gave me a rental. Diagnosed the running board and...
I just just picked up a 2020 Expedition Limited. It’s Blue Ford Certified. Since that warranty is pretty short, do you recommend getting a comprehensive inspection within the warranty timeframe? How has your experience been with any repairs under the certified warranty? I don’t expect anything...
