Ac refrigerant and lubricant for 2003 lincoln nav

Thanks everyone. Pretty much no places in the UK carry any spec for American vehicles let alone the nav. I've had it 7 years and am yet to find any garage that has the info. I'm used to the response from garages being 'if you can get the spec we can do it but it won't be on our system' Because...

Ac refrigerant and lubricant for 2003 lincoln nav

Hello from the UK! My a/c isn't blowing cold so I'm booked in for a regas at a local garage. They need to know how much gas and oil to put in the system. Does anyone know? I think it uses r134a and pag 46 oil but I'm hoping someone can confirm! I have the 5.4 2wd with front climate control...

    Navigator HID question

Update! For anyone interested in my Navi escapades, I got them working. Hooked it all up directly to the battery and the bulb lit up. With the engine running I tested the power at the headlight connector which was 12v ish, so then I put the headlight connector in the ballast purposefuly the...

    Navigator HID question

I picked up a replacement ballast and bulb and hooked it up to the navi. Nothing. I tested the bulb on another car and it works. I can also hook up a halogen bulb to the original wiring and it works. I'm not able to test the ballast unless maybe I hook it up direct to the battery? I tested the...

    Navigator HID question

No the Ballast has been removed. The lights have had a very poorly thought out modification to comply with UK MOT testing. They have drilled up into the light where the ballast used to be and have added a clear white 'side light' as we are not allowed the amber side lights. Personally, I'm...

    Navigator HID question

The bulb in there is wrong. It's just wedged into the opening. The light fitting is designed to hold HID so anything other than that won't fit properly. I'm not sure whether the previous owner was just cheap and didn't want to pay for the right bulbs. The wiring has been modified for the...

    Navigator HID question

Hey guys, Cross posted from the electrical sub but thought I might get a better response from here. Got a 2003 navigator over in the UK and from what I can tell, the previous owner switched out the HID for standard halogen. The problem with this set up is that the headlight is not designed for...

    Navigator headlight HID

Hey guys, Got a navigator over in the UK and from what I can tell, the previous owner switched out the HID for standard halogen. The problem with this set up is that the headlight is not designed for the halogen bulbs and it means that the fog lights throw out more light than the dipped beam...

Possible to bench test air ride sensors?

Thanks for all the replies. I managed to swap the sensors from both sides and tricked the drivers side to lower, so I figured it was indeed a dodgy sensor. It was incredibly hard to move so I ordered an amazon special. Fitted it today and the suspension is now working as it should! Thanks again

    Cruise control light permanently green

Pressing the brake makes no difference at all. I've since fitted a brand new oem fuse board and it is still the same. Haven't tried pulling any fuse but I'll give that a go and see what happens. I'm baffled as I thought a permanent green might be caused by a fuse blown but since the new box...

    Cruise control light permanently green

Hey Guys, Having had problems with my fusebox and an unsuccessful attempt at bypassing the fuel pump relay, I put the car back together and went straight to the garage for rear brake pads and I noticed my adtrac light was flashing rapidly. Forscan showed code c1998 (ABS Module calibration fail)...

Possible to bench test air ride sensors?

Thanks for your reply. I'm over in the uk so no luck with a pick n pull! I decided to order a vcm2 and ids as I also have an intermittent misfire so I'm hoping ids will be able to pinpoint the problem. If it is the sensor, do I need to strip it down to then clean it or is it a case of...

Possible to bench test air ride sensors?

Hi guys, I have a 2003 Navigator with air suspension. Yesterday, I pulled onto the drive and when I parked up I noticed that the drivers front corner was sitting very high compared to the rest of the car. I have checked the drivers side sensor and moved it manually with no response from the...

    Another fuse box replacement ....

Thought I would come back and update. I went ahead and reversed the relay bypass and the truck worked fine. I have ordered a new fusebox from tasca parts as I decided I just don't have enough knowledge about the wiring on the car to do anything beyond someone elses tried and tested solution. For...
