Just traded an 03 for an 05...
DAMN_FORD...No, I don't have the heavy duty tow package. But I do have a dipstick. I think we both have the 4R75E transmission which was designed as a match for 5.4L 3V (not 4R70E -- that's for 4.6L). Both the engine and the tranny were intro'ed in the 04 F-150 so we have the benefit of at least...- JayJervey

Just traded an 03 for an 05...
I crawled under my 05 Expedition a few days ago to see how easy the oil change would be. The filter is right there in front of your face. Must be because it's the new 3V engine. And the new transmission is maintenance-free with a sealed case -- lifetime fluid. Regards -- Jay- JayJervey
