    My 04 XLT rusted. My 11 EL rusted in the same spots. I expect my new 14 EL Ltd to do it someday. Anything I can do now to prevent it?

    Thanks all. Now I need to do two things. One, figure out why my heated seat is decidedly unheated. And two, wrestle the EL keys away from my wife, who loves it.

    Thanks guys! BTW, the old one was no slouch in the snow, but this thing is a TANK! We get 12"+ of snow up here and it just rolls through everything.

    I could only get to it with both removed. And to be honest, my 11 year old daughter was integral in reaching the furthest bolt (tiny hands). :D

    This is a GREAT thread, it's the exact issue I have with my (new to me) 03. I'm confused about what p/n I'm supposed to get from RockAuto though. And should I replace both motors with the assumption that the gear will likely give out soon on the other? Thanks!
