    Coolant consumption

I had a similar issue with my 2020, disappearing coolant with no obvious signs. Turned out to be a leaky coolant tube to the driver's side turbo that was only found with pressurizing the system by the dealer.

2019 XLT adding front camera in eblema

My 2020 XLT has the front camera (360 degree actually). 2019 and 2020 were almost identical and for 2020 the only way to get the 360 degree camera on an XLT was the FX4 . Mine has both the 202A and FX4 package but I can't image that Ford uses an entirely different harness for FX4 vs. non-FX4...

Engine drops hard putting in to drive

    It's a very common problem. https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/tsb-22-2428-2018-2023-expedition-navigator-built-on-before-aug-15-2022-10r80-automatic-trans-others-harsh-delayed-engagement-and-or-shift.53493/

    Michelin Agilis Cross Climate Tires

About 15k miles ago I put on a set of KO2 as my Expy FX4 sees a bit of Colorado trails in the summer (the stock Michelins received a puncture). Like the Agilis Cross Climates, the KO2s are a load range E tire (stiffer sidewall with more plys, up to 80 psi, higher load capacity, etc). I'm not...

    When to replace brakes

I'm at 43k on my 2020 and my front pads are still at 9mm and the rears at 7mm, though I tend to be quite easy on brakes. Brake wear can vary quite a bit and the only way to know is to check for yourself. Amazon sells brake pad gauges for $10.

    Timberline Transmission and MPG

I haven't been able to find anything in the owner's manual of my 2020 to explain the estimated range, but in my previous vehicle (a Honda, so it could be entirely different) the range was based on the average fuel economy for the last 20 or so miles. So if you refueled in the middle of a...

Vehicle break-in and oil change frequency

Currently at 42k with a total of 5 oil changes. I did my 1st oil change around 5,000 and sent the oil off to Blackstone labs for an analysis. The numbers came back fine so I went around 7,000 next time and the numbers still looked good. 3rd oil change was 8,000 and still fine. My last 2 oil...

I have visible spot welds in the exact same spots on my 2020 Max.

Does 4x8 Plywood/Drywall Fit in the back of a 2022?

Payload can very quite a bit depending on your trim level, 2X4 vs 4x4, etc. The payload on my 2020 XLT Max is 1785 lbs. There is a thread on the forum dedicated to this question if you wanted to look for a specific build.

FYI: B/O Sub Box Volume and Stereo Build

Sounds Good Stereo also has a decent Youtube channel and they did a series recently upgrading a Gen 4 Expedition. They even have some custom parts in their online store to help with install conversions. https://soundsgoodstereo.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/SoundsGoodStereo/playlists

FYI: B/O Sub Box Volume and Stereo Build

Very nice and I look forward to the build thread. While I'm overall very happy with my decision to buy an XLT over a Limited/Platinum, the 6 speaker stereo in the XLT is really, really aweful. Hopefully following your build thread will give me some insight and inspiration for my eventual...

    2020 Expy Limited: missed shifts

When I took my 2020 in a few ago, I asked the service advisor this same question and his response was that the issue affected all the 10-speeds, even the GMs. His explanation of the issue was exactly the same as what Robert Bonner explained above, and said he himself was an unhappy 10-speed...

Q: Who Has The Best Price Currently in Ford Extended Warranties?

I also just bought from Flood Ford a week or two ago. I had been following Flood, Lombard, and a few other dealers for a while. I didn't realize that prices increase the earlier of 1 year from vehicle purchase OR 12,000 miles. PremiumCARE $200 Deductible 6 years 125,000 miles No options...

    2018 Transmission Clunking/slamming in gears

I took my 2020 into the dealership yesterday and was told that all the transmission issues I was experiencing was typical for the 10R80. The service advisor acknowledged the issues and said he has 2015 F-150 with the 10R80, has the same issues, and that he won't buy another vehicle with that...

    2018 Transmission Clunking/slamming in gears

Exact issue and symptoms I'm having in the 2020 with 17k miles. Guess it's time to call the dealership.
