I have a '15 XLT with the bench. You can remove the center seat and have two captains chairs for no money. The only difference is the seats do not have arm rests but the seats themselves are the same as the Captains chair model. Just pick up some Husky floor liners to cover up the holes and...
I am getting rid of my JDM Astar LED headlight bulbs that I had in my '15 Expedition XLT for a few months. I found them to be too bright and couldn't ever get them adjusted right without people flashing me. There is nothing wrong with them, they've been sitting on a shelf for 9 months and...
I've got a '15 Expedition with the bench but just took out the middle seat to now have two captains chairs. I've got two small kids in car seats and when my parents come in town, which is frequent, we all ride in my car. My Mom and wife ride in the third row and keep an eye on the kids in the...
Just curious if you loved it so much why did you trade?
I have not made the switch but there was a guy on the forums that owns both and did an in-depth write of each and ironically he preferred the Expedition of the Navigator.
I bought a '15 XLT short wheelbase last year. It had 49k on it and stock shocks. By 55k I was experiencing what you're talking about on smooth Florida highways. On parts where I new the roads were bad I had to hold the wheel with both hands and it still scared the crap out of me it would kick...
I purchased a '15 XLT last March with just under 50k on the clock. Around 55k I noticed the ride was bouncy as all get out on the highway. I replaced the suspension front/back with the KYB Excel G setup and the ride was immediately improved. I felt like the rear end would bounce like Uncle...
2015 XLT here. My rear window defrosts the fastest followed by my passenger mirror and then drivers. IMO the mirror heaters are weak to the point I've considered just using a towel to wipe them prior to driving rather than waiting.
I would agree with using NADA over KBB. I keep my vehicles in excellent shape and no dealer has offered me more than Fair value on any trade-in in the last 10 years, Carmax included.
While 93 does net better fuel economy and power I seriously doubt it adds to actual longevity of the vehicle. Ford knows that most people who buy these are only going to run 87 octane. I don't think you would get 200k out of a 93 octane run vehicle and 150k out of an 87. I'm sure it's just as...
I had purchased a set of 5100's for my '15 XLT but after 3+ months of waiting for them on back order I cancelled the order and bought KYB Excel G's. I believe they are a step up from the Monroe's but below the 5100's.
Either way, I've been pleased with the ride over the stock shocks.
While I know the vehicle is fixed now I respectfully disagree with this in modern times. Engines are much more complex than they used to be. I work at an International commercial truck dealer, which is similar to the automotive world in terms of plugging in a lap top for diag. The laptop...
I have an XLT, I do not have the Projector lights.
I used the same bulbs as this guy. I had concerns about light scatter coming from a true LED light on my Tundra. However, I aimed them down enough where no one has flashed their brights at me and it still puts good light on the road. I also...
There are a number of complaints of this with brand new Expeditions on the Gen 4 section so I don't know what would cause it. Can't imagine worn out steering dampers on new ones, but many are complaining of prematurely worn out shocks, some as little as 7k on them getting replaced. Seems to align?
