    Update: 5000 miles on the rebuilt trans now, and it’s still shifting great. I’ve had a couple (literally 2 or 3) slightly delayed or slightly harsh 5th gear shifts but nothing like before, not concerning. Seems to be fixed. Love the vehicle.

    I’d buy the lowest mileage one you can afford, and put the Ford ESP Premium Care warranty on it and enjoy. Our 2018 had a fair numberof probs, the warranty covered them……mostly cam phasers and such around 75k. We ditched it for a new 22 Suburban which we absolutely HATED and traded back in...

    CDF and Cam Phasers | 2018 Ltd 4x4

    1) it needs cam phasers. Get it in before 100k 2) it needs CDF replaced, take it in and complain, have them perform the TSB that was released summer and go thru the steps to get it replaced before 100k 3) seems high, call Harold Ziegler and get a quote from them.

    My trans is still shifting great after about 1000 miles. Once in awhile has a momentary hesitation on the 3–5 shift, only once and only when cold. Could definitely be related to VCT solenoids/cam phasers. Only have 42k on the clock and another 60k of warranty, so gonna keep an eye on it for...

    Auto Stop/Start *USED* to be disabled- Now it's back

    My bet is the old battery was just weak enough that the auto stop/start didn’t function as I believe I read that was disabled if the voltage isn’t high enough. That fresh new battery messed ya over lol.

    Shifting Issue

    Take it in now and complain. There’s a TSB Take it in NOW and have them check the trans, reference TSB 23-2250. Follow the steps and get as much done before warranty expires as you can. Mine is under the knife as we speak at 41k miles getting a rebuild, under ESP extended warranty.

    All parts came in overnight except 1 bolt, dealer should have the trans torn down early next week, as soon as tech finishes the one he’s currently rebuilding. Crossing my fingers!
