Yes. Had all the suspension components checked at a shop. All ok. Seems related to the drive components.- jhouriet

Front end shimmy/shudder
Had a problem crop up with my 1997 XLT, 231k mi. Was driving about 70mph and started to feel a vibration, like a wheel was out of balance. Got progressively worse where it turned into a severe shimmy in the front end. Stopped for a little bit, started again and the problem vanished. A few more...- jhouriet
