Rear brake pads and rotors junk at 25K miles.

The rear pads on my 2019 XLT Max did not last 30K miles, while the fronts are at 40K and still look good based on a recent dealer oil change/inspection. No mention from the dealer of proximity to the wetlands & ocean (approx 200 yds) as reason for dismal life of rear pads. I can't recall...

    ALLA LED headlights issue

I tried both the Osram Nightbreakers and the Silverstar Ultras for my 2019 XLT and initially found each brand to be an improvement over the stock bulbs. But within months of installation the light output seemed to yellow and dim. I DM'd fellow member Anthony DeVor and following his suggestion I...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

That sucks! Sorry it happened to you, but glad no one was injured. My Expy was rear ended by a drunk driver last July resulting in less damage than what your truck appears to have and the repair tab was nearly $15K. The FMV of these big SUVs has plummeted in the last 2 months due to gas...

mystery rubber cap/plug found in cargo area

Thanks for the response, but that's not it. At least now I know where the spare tire winch access is located. :)

mystery rubber cap/plug found in cargo area

As the title indicates, I discovered this in the cargo area of my 2019 Max today while detailing the interior. I vacuumed it out yesterday evening and finished up the job this morning. Since I vacuumed the cargo area last, I suppose it's possible that it was picked up somewhere else in the car...

    Hancock tires

Not that I am a Hankook fanboy, but we are on our third set of Hankook Ventus tires (275/55-20, I believe) on a 2008 Tahoe LTZ. The tires have been fantastic in all weather conditions. The vehicle has been used as a daily driver here in southern California with many snow ski trips to the Sierra...

    New to us 2019 Expy

Just yesterday I swapped out the halogen lo/hi/fog bulbs in my 2019 XLT Max with a set of Auxito LED's. Everything seems to be functioning normally - DRL, auto hi beam, etc. I had previously upgraded the lo from stock Sylvania halogen bulb to a "high performance" Osram halogen bulb which...

    Install ALLA Fog Lights process?

I replaced the stock hi/low/fog bulbs with Auxito LEDs yesterday, and there was nothing particularly difficult about the fogs other than a metal bracket on the driver's side that I had to work around.

    Pet Cargo Liner

I have the WeatherTech from second row back over the Ford mat. https://www.weathertech.com/ford/2021/expedition-max/cargo-liner/ And I have Canvasback on the back of the second row, in case I need to lay it down. https://www.canvasback.com/ford-expedition-max-cargo-liners.html

    2022 Expedition XLT ordered today

Congratulations on the newly ordered Expy, as well as recent retirement. Do the 2022 XLTs still come with halogen headlights?

Has anyone had FSA 21N08 reflash done yet?

Took my 2019 Max to the dealer today to address the Customer Satisfaction Programs 21B10, 21N03, and 21N08 in Ford's letter dated October, 2021. The service advisor told me that I did not need the PCM reprogram (21B10) since the dealer had already replaced the cam phasers last June, with 14K...

    2021 XLT FX4 Halogens - Help!

How is the night time driving experience improved? Besides being a white light, does it illuminate further down the road? Wider beam? I upgraded the halogen bulbs on my 2019 XLT, but I still avoid nighttime road trips if I can. Something I never give a second thought in other cars.

    Wipers

Bosch fitment guide shows #22A for 2018+ Expedition. Looks like the next size up is #24A (24" length vs 22"). Is there enough clearance for the extra 2" on both wiper arms?

“Lift gate or lift glass ajar”

Button for the window is above license plate, just below Expedition chrome piece. Button for hatch is located down near the handle.

    K9 Transporter

Funny how experience affects perception. As one who often travels with a couple of large dogs I saw a vehicle modified for the safety and comfort of its passengers - human and canine. I'll repeat an earlier post, thanks for what you and your beautiful pups do.
