Is a 2001 Expedition the right truck for us?

Ann, while you’re at Autozone getting those codes pulled and printed out (for free) get a new air filter, can of throttle body and can of mass airflow (MAF) sensor spray cleaner and give those a thorough cleaning. New Toy! 1998 Expedition XLT 4x4
My first Expy was a 1997 XLT 5.4 Prairie Tan just like yours. Selling it with only 150k miles on it was a big mistake.....that I corrected when I bought a 2000 XLT. 350k miles later and it’s still runs great! Constant whirring sound in the engine compartment 2000 Exp.
The problem is the ANTILOCK brake module/servo that sits on the brake ma automatically or by the brake master cylinder and pumps the brakes to keep you straight in a skid. The one in my 2000 Expy did the same thing years ago. I simply pulled fuse 102 and to this day pump the brakes my self.- Jon Hedges

Non-dorman Intake manifold
2000 Expy, 5.4 Full time AWD 327k Miles. I replaced my cracked, coolant leaking factory manifold with the aftermarket Dorman in 2011.
